He understands Spanish and finds comfort in soft voices and gentle ways. The world is still new to him… even toys are something he’s just beginning to understand. <br/><br/>He’s a little nervous in a home right now, not because he doesn’t want love, but because he’s still figuring out that love can stay. Cody needs a patient, kind adopter who won’t rush him and will let trust grow the old-fashioned way — slow and steady. <br/><br/>A secure, physical fenced yard is a must, giving him a safe place to stretch his legs, sniff the breeze, and learn that outside can be peaceful too. He would do best with older children, as quick movements and loud noises can be a bit much for this tender soul. <br/><br/>Cody isn’t looking for perfection — just someone willing to sit beside him, speak softly, and show him that home isn’t something that disappears. With time, consistency, and a whole lot of heart, Cornelius will bloom into the most loyal little companion you could ask for.
