Cora's Story

Fiona is a 2.5-year-old, 40 lb spayed Coonhound mix who is ready to discover what it means to be part of a family. Fiona is incredibly smart, good with children, shows signs of house training, and has already started basic training at the shelter with one of our volunteers. She walks on leash & is dog friendly, although she will need proper, slow introductions with new dogs. Fiona will require a securely fenced yard, as her recall is still a work in progress. Because of her prey drive, Fiona should not live with cats or chickens. She would do best with someone who is willing to give her the patience, guidance, and time she needs to continue building confidence and learning how great life can be. Fiona has so much to offer and is just waiting for someone to give her the chance to show it.
