Copper's Story

Hi, I'm Copper.
I'm about 10 years old, weigh around 65 pounds, and I'm a neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped husky/malamute mix. I'm heartworm negative and doing well overall.

I'm a classic husky at heart. I love being outside, enjoy fresh air and space, and I can be a little dramatic in that endearing husky way. I have a friendly personality and a confident presence. I can be a bit dominant at times, but it's more about having opinions than causing problems.

I do well with other dogs, cats, and kids. I'd be happy living with dog friends or as an only dog. My activity level is more medium these days-I still like being outside and moving around, but I'm also very content just hanging out and relaxing.

I'm house trained, crate trained, and I do okay on leash. I do have some weakness in my back legs, but it doesn't seem to slow me down or affect my quality of life. I still enjoy getting around and doing my thing.

A fenced yard is a must for me, as spending time outdoors is one of my favorite parts of the day. I'm in my senior era now and looking for a home that appreciates a calmer pace, understands my husky personality, and is happy to let me lounge, observe, and add a little dramatic flair to their life.

If you're looking for an easygoing senior with classic husky charm, I'm ready to find a comfortable place to call home.
