COPPER's Story

Copper (A142370) is a 1-year-and-4-month-old Lab mix who weighed 57 pounds on intake! 06/01/26 This active guy is Copper! Copper was surrendered to the shelter due to family changes. He is an active dog looking for a home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him healthy and happy. He was known to play rough and while he did well with children his owner felt he would do best in a home without small children to set him up for success. Copper was also said to do well with other animals including dogs, cats, and chickens. It is important that appropriate introductions are made to help set him up for success. However, it was noted that he can become a little too overenthusiastic about his toys and does not always like to share. Copper was said to be housebroken, rides well in a car, and knows his basic commands! If you are interested in meeting Copper, and live an active lifestyle, please let us know!
