What is City of Mobile Animal Services’s adoption process?

Our adoption fees are $60 for dogs and $30 for cats, which includes spay/neuter and age appropriate vaccines. We are located at 855 Owens Street (which is off Virginia Street). Our facility is open for drop-in adoptions Monday through Friday from 12-4pm, and appointments can be made via animalshelter@cityofmobile.org for other times. Animal License: All dogs residing within the city limits of Mobile over three months of age are required to be licensed. Proof of current rabies inoculation is required for all license purchases. If your pet has a registered microchip, no license is required per Code update 11/2022. The following fees apply to the license: Unspayed/Unneutered dogs $15.00 Spayed/Neutered dogs $3.00 Senior Citizens (65 or older) (Proof of age is required) Unspayed/Unneutered dogs $3.00 Spayed/Neutered dogs $1.50 We are located at 855 Owens Street, Mobile AL 36604 (which is off Virginia Street).
