You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.<br/><br/>Meet Copper!<br/><br/>Copper is the sweetest 2 year old 40 lb beagle mix looking for his forever home!<br/><br/>He wants nothing more than to follow you around all day and smother you with love. He loves kids of all ages and makes friends with other dogs as soon as they're introduced. He loves to play fetch and will chase a ball all day long! (Still hasn't quite figured out how to pick up a frisbee off the ground) He's fantastic in the car and on a leash and loves to go on walks and hikes. Also LOVES squeaky stuffed animals like his favorite dinosaur friend.<br/><br/>Copper loves being around his people and would do best in a home where somebody is home during the day. A yard is a must, if it's fenced-in even better! He's extremely food motivated, so training should come easily to him as long as there's a tasty treat involved. He doesn't ... love... cats. So probably no cats in the home. And based on his manners when we pass rabbits on walks, probably no other small pets either. But other dogs and kids are totally cool!<br/><br/>As good of a pup as he is, if you plan to crate your dog, then Copper is not the one for you. He is not good in a crate at all and has bent the bars of his crate trying to get out. He is also mostly house broken, with the exception of the occasional accident when he hasn't been outside in a while and gets really excited to play. But he will certainly let you know if he needs to go outside with one of his mighty howls!<br/><br/>If you're looking to add a very good boy to your home, apply online!<br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
