Copernicus's Story

My name is Copernicus, but everyone calls me Cappy. I'm a handsome black lab, a petite 49 pounds, and I'm two years old.

My favorite thing in the whole world, besides my people, is a good chest scratch. Oh, and being right by your side. I'm a real velcro dog, you see. Wherever my people are, I'm there.

My days are filled with important dog business: sleeping in sunbeams, keeping an eye on the neighborhood squirrels (they're up to something, I'm sure of it), and enjoying my favorite chew toys. Treats are a bit of a tricky subject. I'm not really a fan of those dry, hard things. But if you've got some yummy lunchmeat or a sliver of cheese? Now you're speaking my language!

I'm a pretty good boy, mostly. I get along with everyone-the little humans, the old, wise cat, and even other dogs. We have good sniff-and-greet sessions. My only minor issue is that new things can make me a little wiggly. I like things to happen at my pace. So, if you're thinking of bringing me into your home, just remember to go slow with me.

I also love having people around. It makes me feel safe and loved. Sometimes, when I feel a little lonely, I might gently paw at your leg. It's just my way of saying, 'Hey, over here! Don't forget about me!' But honestly, who could resist a good boy like me? I'm pretty pawfect, if you ask me.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
