Copa's Story

COPA IS OFFICIALLY ACCEPTING ADOPTION APPLICATIONS!

Remember the brindle beauty with the HUGE smile who recently joined Belles Buds Rescue?

Well, we've gotten to know her a little better, and this girl is an absolute JOY.

Copa is just under a year old and believed to be a Shepherd mix, possibly Belgian Malinois or Dutch Shepherd. She was found abandoned out in the country and picked up by animal control. Thankfully, a foster said YES, giving us the opportunity to bring Copa into Belles Buds Rescue.

And now we understand why she was smiling so hard in that very first photo.

Copa LOVES life.

She loves car rides.
She loves going places.
She loves people.
She LOVES playing with other dogs.
And apparently...she loves chasing butterflies.

Her foster has had Copa playing with five other dogs at once, and Copa was in heaven. These photos of her hanging out with her canine crew pretty much say it all.

She can be just a touch shy when meeting someone new, but give her about 10 seconds and you've become her newest best friend. She's wonderful with people of all ages—men, women and children—and is incredibly affectionate.

Copa is also:

House trained
Crate trained and settles quietly
Doing great on a leash
A big fan of car rides and knows “load up!”
Very gentle when taking treats
A lover of chew toys
Playful, social and always ready to join the fun
Cat compatibility is currently unknown

Copa is still a young dog, so she has plenty of playful puppy enthusiasm. Her ideal family will give her opportunities to walk, explore, play and be part of their everyday adventures. A nice backyard and/or another playful dog would be a huge bonus.

But what we REALLY love is how her foster describes her:

“The family who adopts Copa is going to love how she chases butterflies and is always in the mood to play. She's always loving and wants to be with them.”

That may be the best description of Copa there is.

She's the dog who wants to hop in the car with you.

The dog who wants to play with her canine buddies.

The dog who wants to explore the backyard, chase a butterfly and then come find her people.

Copa doesn't just want a home. She wants a family she can do life with.

Fostered in Brookshire, Texas
Transport available to approved adopters

Apply to adopt Copa:
https://bit.ly/4eTeheq

Could Copa fit into YOUR family?
Tag someone who needs an adventure buddy.
And please SHARE—her forever family may be one share away!

#Copa #austindogs #bellesbudsrescue #AdoptDontShop #ShepherdMix #BrindleDog #cypresstx #AdventureDog #TexasRescueDog #HoustonDogs #countrylife #RescueDog #adoptme

We are not a shelter and do not have "one location" for you to meet all of our dogs. So in order to meet, we need to coordinate with our fosters and find a suitable location/time to meet. We do also require home visits but if due to restrictions we ask for you to at least send pictures of your house/yard.
