Cooper's Story

Cooper, Male, 1 year old, 82 pounds

Meet Cooper!
This 1 year old handsome guy is big, playful, and ever so friendly! He’s been very dog friendly here at the shelter and loves spending time outside with volunteers! Cooper enjoyed a sleepover with one of our fantastic volunteers and he was FANTASTIC in the home!! He’s absolutely a great dog! Cooper does need a home without cats/small animals (no chickens). Let’s help Cooper find a wonderful home once again!

Volunteer views:
“I was able to foster Cooper for an overnight visit. He was a great houseguest after a few minutes of checking out my home - he knew he was in a safe place. Cooper is very gentle even when playing. He has a great temperament and likes to give lots of kisses. He doesn’t realize he’s such a big dog! Still thinks he’s a puppy! Cooper is a wonderful dog and I’m sure he would be the best lifelong companion/family dog. He is READY for a good home.”

No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption.

If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested.

Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
