Cooper's Story
A833224 Cooper
Devore Shelter, California
Now safe in foster in Tannersville, NY

When we rescued Cooper from Devore, he was very sick. He had to spend time at Animal Medical Center in Palmdale, California battling pneumonia. He fought so hard and he made it.

Cooper is an absolute doll. Gentle, sweet, and so deserving of this second chance. He does have something going on with his left leg when he walks, and we will be bringing him to our trusted Dr. Berg at Guardian Veterinary in Brewster for a full evaluation. For now, he is safe, warm, and decompressing in foster exactly where he needs to be.

Huge thank you to @Wings of Rescue for flying him to New York and giving him the opportunity to start over.

Welcome to your new life, Cooper. Weve got you now.

Cooper has officially been cleared for adoption!

Cooper is a handsome German Shepherd who was rescued from California and is currently being fostered in Tannersville, NY.

This sweet boy has been evaluated by orthopedic specialist Dr. Hart, and despite an old injury from his past, Cooper has been cleared to find his forever home.

Cooper has an old injury to his left hind leg that likely occurred long before he was rescued. He has a permanent abnormal gait and a luxating patella, along with evidence of an old pelvic injury, but the wonderful news is that he is not painful. He loves to run, play, jump on the furniture, explore, and enjoys life just like any other dog. At this time, surgery is not recommended, and Dr. Hart feels Cooper can continue to enjoy a happy, active life.

Cooper has a fantastic temperament. He is friendly with people, does well with other dogs with proper introductions, and has a fun-loving personality. Like many rescue dogs, he will benefit from time to decompress and settle into his new home.

If youre looking for a loyal companion and can look beyond a little limp, Cooper will reward you with endless love, devotion, and companionship.

Fostered in Tannersville, NY

Apply below to give Cooper the forever home he has been waiting for!

https://www.trinafriendsk9rescue.org/new-page

#AdoptCooper #GermanShepherd #GermanShepherdRescue #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #TrinaAndFriendsK9Rescue #TannersvilleNY #NewYorkDogs #RescueShepherd #ForeverHomeNeeded #SecondChance #DogAdoption #RescueIsMyFavoriteBreed

#TrinaAndFriendsK9Rescue #FreedomRide #DevoreShelter #RescueDog #SecondChance #FromShelterToSafety #WingsOfRescue #FosterSavesLives #TannersvilleNY #NYRescue #AdoptDontShop #ShepherdRescue #GuardianVeterinary #RescueLife
