Cooper's Story

READ THE FOLLOWING FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION AND FOR A DESCRIPTION OF THIS PET:

Meet Cooper! Cooper is a young Mountain Cur mix (guessing with Plott hound) with a big personality and an even bigger love for playing! He’s genuinely a good boy with a whole bunch of energy and enthusiasm for life.

Cooper absolutely loves running, playing fetch, and spending time with other dogs. He’s a very friendly boy. Cooper is currently 9 months old and weighs 41 lbs. Cooper is also a smart boy! He knows sit, paw, down, come, and cage. He’s fully potty trained, does wonderfully in his crate, and is generally very good about chewing on his own toys rather than household items. Cooper isn’t a big barker, although he will occasionally bark to greet another dog or alert you when someone is near the house.

Cooper has been raised around young children and has always been gentle and friendly with them. He takes toys gently, enjoys playing with them, and has never shown any type of aggression. However, he is extremely energetic and can accidentally knock little ones over when he gets excited. For this reason, a home with older children or no young children would be the best fit for him. He has also lived with cats, but he tends to chase them in an attempt to play, which the cats do no enjoy.

Cooper’s perfect home would be with an active family or individual who can help him burn off some energy with a run, walk, or a good hike. He would benefit from plenty of opportunities to run, play, and continue learning more commands. He’s still working on his good boy skills, particularly jumping when greeting people, walking calmly on a leash, and learning when it’s time to relax. Cooper is still a puppy at only 9 months old so this is to be expected.

Cooper really is a good dog who just needs the right environment to thrive. He’s full of personality, loves to have fun, and has so much potential with someone willing to give him the time, patience, and consistency he needs to be successful like all young dogs. If you’re looking for an energetic, playful companion who’s always ready for an adventure, Cooper might be your perfect match!

Cooper is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, flea/tick/HW prevention and is microchipped. Cooper’s adoption fee is $450.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:

- The first step towards adoption is to complete an adoption application, which can be found online at our website www.roadtriprescues.com, under the “ADOPT” tab.

- Do not use the Petfinder links or email to ask us about our adoptable dog listings - we do not always receive these messages and will not respond to them.

- Please do not ask if a dog is still available - we do our best to update their status as quickly as possible. If a dog is listed for adoption, it means we have not yet approved an adopter and are still accepting applications.

- PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY APPROVED ADOPTERS WILL BE PERMITTED TO MEET OUR RESCUES - WE ARE A FOSTER BASED RESCUE AND ALL OF OUR DOGS LIVE WITH US AS FAMILY.

Thanks for considering a rescue pup!

Road Trip Rescues Inc. - Bethlehem, PA
PA Kennel License #7186
