Meet Cooper

Why Choose Me?

From Cooper's foster: Meet Cooper!
?He is great on the leash, barely pulls.
?Very cute!!! He looks adorable in his outfits, which his foster says can go with him!
?He is super smart! He will solve anything you give him and runs through "games" that are meant to take hours
?Crate trained: Pretty good in the crate, a little whiny when you're leaving but will eventually chill out and be laying down and relaxed once you get back
?He sleeps through the night if you'd like to keep him in the room with you. He is pretty curious, so I wouldn't leave anything you don't want him to get into.
?He is very trainable. It takes a lot of repetition, patience, and firmness but he gets there! He is currently enrolled in weekly Friday classes with Georgia Dog Trainer LLC and any local adopter can continue these classes AT NO CHARGE!
?Knows: sit, up, down, paw, spin, follow, learning heel, place is hit or miss, touch (touch his nose to your palm)
?Loves affection! He loves to be scratched, rubbed, give kisses, and being close to you.
?He doesn't bark much. When he does it doesn't last very long and just needs to be redirected.
?He is very social and loves all people we've encountered on walks and he'll do fine with adults in the home, however no children under 10 just because he's high energy.
?He loves treats and toys! Sometimes he won't do a task without incentive, just gotta find something he's interested in!
?Sometimes he follows you everywhere and other times he'll do his own thing. I would say watch him when he's curiously wandering the home. He's pretty good, but sometimes he gets into stuff he's not supposed to.
Cooper is a good boy and sits on a dime for treats. He's active and needs regular exercise and play time, so if you're looking for a happy, playful buddy to share your life, Cooper would love to meet you!

As soon as Cooper entered the interaction pen, he sprinted for the table where I'd placed a football. He was happy entertaining himself but enjoyed having me throw it for him, too. He loved that football so much, I pulled out a Bulldog jersey. He's a handsome dog and looks great in red. We continued to play and had a blast. Cooper was in a foster home for a while, and we've learned he's house trained. When attending off site adoption events, he's done well with other dogs. Before coming to the shelter, he'd lived with another dog. Cooper is a good boy and sits on a dime for treats. He's active and needs regular exercise and play time, so if you're looking for a happy, playful buddy to share your life, Cooper would love to meet you!
