Cooper's Story

Meet Cooper!

Goofy, gorgeous, and gangly, Cooper is a 5-year-old boy with a big heart and a loyal spirit. Whether it’s a game, a walk, a car ride, or relaxing nearby, he is happiest when part of the action.

Cooper is a mix of Great Dane and Catahoula Leopard Dog. At 89 pounds he’ll need someone with large-dog experience! He loves exercise and thrives on having a daily routine, so he’ll do best with an active and partly outdoorsy person or family. He loves to play fetch and play tug, and would surely keep you company whenever you’re outside.

Cooper is a great dog who unfortunately needs a new home. His owner moved to MA to take care of parents. He grew close to one “grandparent” who has now passed away, while the other needs a lot of care. Cooper has always been a sensitive dog, but grief and stressors have made him feel unsettled and nervous.

He is very intelligent though he hasn’t had much training. He’ll need some work especially since he is a large boy. He is plenty capable, however! Whenever he returns from boarding he struts around more confidently.

Cooper is a sweet, affectionate companion who loves being an integral part of the family. Though he feels a little anxious when meeting people for the first time, with a little patience and kindness he warms up quickly.

He really is a deeply devoted and loving dog who will thrive in a calm, consistent environment with a loving owner who has more time for him. A fenced-in yard is preferred. Sorry no apartments.

Cooper lives with another dog who is patient and playful with him. With proper meet and greets, a compatible resident dog may work out. He has no experience with cats or kids. He’s likely best in a home with only adults, but the right person who has older kids could also be a good match.

This is a home-to-home adoption with guidance from a rescue that stresses responsible rehoming. The adoption fee wil be donated to an animal advocacy cause!

Contact belasantos75@outlook.com and tell her Animal Rescue Konnection (ARK) sent you. Thank you!
