This boy is a HUGGER!! Cooper loves all people. If you don’t want a dog that jumps up, Cooper will not be a perfect fit. (He will stay down when told).<br/>Cooper likes playing with other dogs, car rides, ATV rides, is an EXCELLENT walker, good on recall and recall using a training collar. Cooper likes to run around exploring and when he’s worked up a sweat, then he wants to cool off swimming in water. Cooper is a free roamer at night in the house and for quick errands when we leave. Not real vocal and not a big chewer but, if a flip-flop is mixed in with 100 dog toys, he will pick the sandal.<br/><br/> Cooper will settle down if he needs to be crated. Cooper is not a fan of thunder or fireworks. When that happens, he mainly starts panting. Now what we do not know is how he would be around gunshots for hunting. We have not had the opportunity to test him with a gun, so we are not sure how he will react in the field, etc. The good news is that Cooper is not an overly anxious dog. <br/><br/>Cooper is about 98% house trained with us as he was kept outside before we took him in. Cooper’s ideal family would be one that A) loves hugs, B) loves constant attention from Cooper, will take him swimming and just shower love on him. He so deserves it. If he was the only dog, that would be okay too! He currently lives with the resident Brittany and they are fine with each other. Currently, Cooper is being introduced to cats and chickens! Cooper will chase them off leash. We also have cats/kittens that come up to him and he doesn’t mind them, proper introduction and supervision will be needed. Cooper will make for a great new shadow and there isn’t anywhere Cooper won’t go if you are there! Cooper is UTD on his vaccines and is H/W negative and on preventative.
