Cookie's Story

Cookie is about 2 years old, 30 pounds, and an absolute sweetheart looking for her person. Once she decides you’re her person, she’s all in. She is a true Velcro dog who wants to be near you and will quickly become your best friend.

Cookie is wonderful in the house. She knows how to settle in and relax, and she doesn’t need to be entertained every minute of the day. She’s also a rockstar in her crate, making her an easy girl to have around. And if there’s food involved, count her in! Cookie LOVES to eat.

When meeting new people, Cookie prefers to approach them on her own terms. She’ll sniff, decide you’re okay, and then happily accept pets. Once you’re approved, you’re officially her friend!

Cookie can be nervous around some young children, so we’re looking for an adult-only home where she can feel comfortable and confident.

She’s also an athletic girl who would enjoy walks, hikes, and exploring with her family, and she may even have fun trying agility or becoming a running buddy. But her athleticism isn’t what defines her. Cookie is happiest simply being with her people.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, devoted dog who can enjoy an adventure but is equally happy to come home, settle in, and hang out with you, Cookie may be your girl.

She’s not looking for a marathon runner. She’s looking for her person.
