Meet Cookie!

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Cookie is a 45-pound female Australian Cattle Dog mix born on December 25, 2025. She is currently living in a foster home in Massachusetts.

PERSONALITY: Cookie is affectionate, smart, adaptable, and full of personality. She is generally easygoing but also has playful bursts when she is ready to run, play, and be a little mischievous. She thrives with a consistent daily routine.

FAVORITE THINGS: Walks, hard chew bones, treats, playing outside, other dogs, belly rubs, and being near her people. She often naps on her back like she owns the couch, and the tips of her ears fold back when she is asking for a treat.

OTHER DOGS: Cookie is dog friendly. She enjoys playing but can also respect another dog’s signals when it has had enough.

CHILDREN: Cookie has lived successfully with children ages 10, 13, and 15 and regularly does well with their visiting friends. Because she can become jumpy and use her mouth during excited play, she would do best with dog-savvy children ages 12 and older who can calmly follow directions.

CATS: Unknown.

AT HOME: Cookie is house trained, crate trained, and quiet in the home. She settles well and does not chew furniture. She may steal an unattended item or investigate the counter, but she redirects easily.

TRAINING: Cookie walks nicely on leash. When she becomes overly excited, she may jump or use her mouth during play. Her foster family is working on this by ending attention, redirecting her to a toy, and giving her a calm break when needed. She usually settles quickly and has shown improvement.

CAR RIDES: Cookie rides quietly but can appear a little unsure in the car.

BEST FIT: Cookie would thrive with a family that will provide regular exercise, clear boundaries, and the consistent routine that helps her be her best self.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.

For more information:
https://buddyandfriendsma.org

To apply for adoption:
https://buddyandfriendsma.org/adopt

MA License Number: 52
