Cookie's Story

Meet Cookie, the sweetest treat you'll ever add to your family! Just like her name suggests, she is 100% sugar and spice, without a single crumb of trouble.

At just 2 years old, Cookie is in the prime of her life. She has moved past the messy puppy stage and settled into a lovely, predictable rhythm. She is an easygoing, calm girl who has mastered the art of being a "couch potato." She doesn't need high-intensity workouts; she’s much more interested in "dunking" into a soft bed for a nap or "baking" in a sunny spot on the floor. Her temperament is truly "half-baked" in the best way—she’s mellow, patient, and perfectly content just being near her humans.

Cookie is also a total "smart cookie" when it comes to her manners. She is house-trained and crate-trained, making her a dream to have in the home. She is great on a leash, walking with a gentle, steady pace that makes every stroll a delight.

She has one adorable quirk that makes her even more special: she thinks she’s a kitten! Cookie loves to rub her body against your legs as a sign of affection and trust, almost as if she’s "kneading the dough" for a fresh batch of cookies. This "cat-like" lean is her favorite way to ask for attention and snuggles.

When it comes to other furry friends, Cookie is a bit of a "specialty recipe." While she is a social butterfly with people, she does best with smaller dogs. She finds smaller playmates much less intimidating and would rather have a "crumb-sized" companion to lounge with if there are other dogs in the home.

Why Cookie is the "Perfect Batch":

Calm Demeanor: She is a low-maintenance companion who walks nicely on a lead and rarely barks.

Kid-Friendly: She has a particular soft spot for children and is known for being an exceptional "mama" figure.

Cat-Like Affection: She is a world-class snuggle bug who loves to "sandwich" herself against you for a "full-body hug".

If you’re looking for a loyal friend who is "tough to crumble" under pressure and always ready to offer a sweet snuggle, then Cookie is the one for you!
📋 Interested in adopting Cookie?

Please complete an adoption application using the link below. An approved application is required before scheduling meet and greets.

YouTube video: https://youtube.com/shorts/XliySicChNM?si=Xf-NF8spaqbQxvxO

Cookie is a loving, gentle girl who deserves patience, understanding, and a true forever home. 💛🐶
Her adoption fee is $300. She can be transported to other states for an additional $200.

98% of our adoptables come from out of state. There are higher fees associated as we have to pay to have the animals transported. We are a non-profit rescue. Any access revenue made is used to care for animals with additional medical expenditures that would otherwise result in adoptable dogs having to be left behind and euthanized.

Paws Deep Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step to adoption, once you have identified a pet you would like to adopt, is to fill out an adoption application. You can speed up the adoption process by calling your vet ahead of time to give us permission to speak to them in regards to your current and past pets. You will be contacted to schedule an interview and a meet and greet after the adoption contract is approved.. We will need proof of age with a form of ID. Once we have gotten approval that you are allowed to have pets where you live, your adoption application is approved, the pet is altered, and adoption payment is received, only then will the animal be released. Some pets may be able to go home the day after adoption contract is approved others it could be a week. If the animal is deemed too young to be altered we will have the adopter sign a spay and neuter contract. The animal will need to be neutered when it is 6 months old and we will need proof provided to us by a licensed veterinarian. Once there is proof provided, the rescue will reimburse $100 of the adoption fee. If there is more than one qualifying approved applicant that is a match then the applicant who first inquired will get the opportunity to meet the pet and decide if they want to adopt before it goes to the next person in line. Note: Some animals will require home inspections or a fenced yard. Applying for a dog does not mean automatic approval. We reserve the right to deny applications. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_j7Qyk269a7uzMcOh1Ffx3PU9femw7Xd3t-Nj8TOfBE/edit Follow us on TikTok: @pawsdeepanimalrescue
