Cookie's Story

Meet Cookie - Your New Adventure Buddy!
Please welcome Cookie to ARMA! Cookie is an 11-month-old Aussie/Border Collie mix female bursting with love, brains, and puppy energy. At 32 pounds, she's the perfect medium-sized companion for an active household.
Cookie came to us after her owner was deployed, and she's now settling in wonderfully with her foster family. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find her forever home!
Why You'll Love Cookie:
Super sweet and affectionate - a champion cuddler!
LOVES other dogs and enjoys endless games of fetch
Walks well on a leash (though she's still working on not pulling)
Very smart and eager to learn; already knows sit and drop it
Friendly with every person she meets - she's never met a stranger!
What Cookie Is Working On:
Like many young pups, Cookie could use some manners training - especially when it comes to jumping up to say hello. Her previous owner mentioned some food guarding, though the shelter was not able to replicate it. She has given a small growl when another dog tried to drink from her water bowl, so mindful supervision around shared resources is recommended for now.
Other Notes:
Cookie hasn't been exposed to cats or children yet, but we're excited to learn more about how she does as she continues to blossom in her foster home.
If you're looking for a bright, affectionate, playful companion to join your adventures, Cookie might just be your perfect match!
Apply to adopt Cookie today and help her start her next chapter!
