Meet Cookie, a 7 month old Queensland Heeler mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Rescued from a Bakersfield shelter after being found abandoned in a field, Cookie hasn’t let her rough start dim her spirit one bit! She is bursting with love, energy, and charm.<br/>Cookie is incredibly friendly and greets everyone she meets with enthusiastic jumps and tail wags. She absolutely adores people, other dogs, and all kinds of toys. True to her working breed roots, she’s full of energy and would make an amazing companion for an active home, whether that’s hiking, jogging, or just lots of outdoor playtime.<br/><br/>Covered in speckles, Cookie looks like she rolled in pieces of an Oreo cookie, just one of the many reasons she’s impossible not to fall in love with at first sight.<br/><br/>She has a playful style that can be a bit rough-and-tumble, so she’d do best with dogs her size or larger who can keep up with her enthusiasm. A home with a yard or a very active family would be ideal for helping her burn off that puppy energy. Because of her herding instincts, a home with older kids is recommended.<br/><br/>Despite all her wiggles and zoomies, Cookie has a softer side too! When you hold her, she melts right into your arms and becomes calm and cuddly.
