Meet Connie: 60 Pounds of Celestial Bureaucracy & Highly Selective Enlightenment<br/><br/>Connie is a 7-year-old, 60-pound American Bulldog mix who appears to have been assembled from snow, blue skies, and one final splatter of pink paint across the nose because subtlety had already left the building.<br/><br/>She came from a rural Louisiana shelter where her prospects were frighteningly small. These days, Connie is safe, loved, and running a highly selective admissions department for her inner circle.<br/><br/>New people, particularly men, require vetting. Connie does not distribute trust like promotional merchandise. There is an application. Possibly references. But once approved? Lifetime membership.<br/><br/>She is affectionate, playful, devoted, and utterly obsessed with her foster mom. Connie follows her around, curls at her feet, and continues to maintain that 60 pounds is a perfectly legitimate lap-dog weight. Physics has appealed. Connie denied the motion.<br/><br/>She loves walks, toys, playtime, and her dog siblings, although she does appreciate colleagues who respect the existing governmental structure.<br/><br/>Connie is spayed, vaccinated, and Take Paws is handling her heartworm treatment. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).<br/><br/>The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet.
