He’s happiest when he’s close to his people.<br/><br/>Colton is always up for an adventure and enjoys being out and about. But when it’s time to relax, he’s as mellow as they come, content to curl up on a soft bed after a day of fun. He can be pup selective so a meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home.<br/><br/>Colton tested positive for heartworm, and HSNT covers his full treatment after adoption. He’s feeling good and ready for his new beginning! He is also available through our Foster-to-adopt program so you can take him home and make sure he is the perfect match for your family. <br/><br/>Volunteer's perspective - Colton's Big Day Out <br/>Colton, affectionately known as our shelter lab-teddy bear mix, loved running laps around our yard and sniffing every square inch. He checked in frequently as if to say, "isn’t this great?!" Despite temperatures in the 30s and a brisk wind, he simply could not resist the lure of the pool! Thankfully, he was satisfied playing with the bubbler on the ledge. I thought he was happy running until I saw him wading- it was doggy heaven for him!<br/><br/>Colton seemed to prefer the outdoors over being inside. He really enjoyed the new sights, sounds, and smells and taking it all in... Or maybe he just wanted to go wading again. This big, joyful, goofball will be a lab-lover's dream dog.
