Colter's Story
Sweet and happy Colter is searching for a forever home after being surrendered from being a breeding dog at a puppy mill. He is an approximately 5-year-old, 68-pound, Standard Poodle. He may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Because he lived a sheltered, fairly isolated life as a puppy mill breeder, Colter may be a little shy at first, but he gets over it quickly and despite his size, will try to sit on your lap to get attention! He is currently working on learning about newer (to him) things in life like getting comfortable with vehicles and meeting new dogs. He is doing great with the dogs in his foster home, he just needs slow and structured introductions as he never learned how to meet new dogs. He is house trained and crate trained. Overall he has a sweet and happy demeanor who would be very happy with a fenced in background or moderate walks for exercise a few times a day.

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
