Colt's Story
Meet Colt

Colt is a young male (age unknown) weighing 45 lbs, and he’s as smart and eager as they come. He’s very puppy-like, quick to learn, and already picking up on basic commands like off and go to bed. He’s also mastering leash manners, crate time, and meal-time routines.

Colt loves being outside, quickly learned the doggy door, and adores following his foster’s older dog around. He’s social, playful, and curious—though still figuring out how to behave around livestock and new dogs. With calm introductions, he settles nicely.

This boy is affectionate and thrives on kindness but will need structure and consistency to help him continue building good habits. He’s crate trained, house-trained, and absolutely loves mealtime. (Bonus: he’s got a silly side—like his love of toilet paper rolls!)

Colt will do best with:
• A family willing to give him training and boundaries
• Possibly another confident dog to learn from
• Someone active who enjoys walks, playtime, and snuggles
• A cat-free or livestock-free environment (still working on that!)
Colt has come a long way since arriving in rescue and is ready to find a forever home where he can keep growing into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.
