Colette's Story

While we sure wish that this flood of Frenchies would dry up, we can not be mad that this little girl has landed with us. And, lucky for everyone, little girl has only been loved in her lifetime. She is sweet as sugar and LOVES her human and wants to be WITH her, always. And, she is getting braver every day when meeting new people and doing new things. She is okay in a crate, but prefers to snuggle in bed and on the sofa. She came from a home with a pack of other pups, so she seems to need another easy, confident dog to help her live her best life. Little girl loves car rides and is just a joy to be around. Austin Bulldog Rescue's Adoption Policy

Austin Bulldog Rescue will consider adoptive families in the Austin, surrounding areas, and the northwest San Antonio area. This is simply due to logistics and distance of travel for our volunteers. Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the Bulldog’s background and your family’s needs. Every Bulldog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right Bulldog with the right adoptive home, because we want this to be the dog's permanent home. If you are willing to wait for the right rescue to be matched to you, you are an ideal candidate for ABR. As our success rate proves, these precious dogs are well worth the wait. If acquiring a dog is a time sensitive issue for you or your family, rescue may not be for you.
