Colby Jack's Story
Meet Colby Jack,

Colby Jack has officially healed from his surgery and now scheduled to be neutered on the 25th. We are looking for a special home for Colby that is familiar with obstructions. Colby has a thing for eating things that he shouldn't so needs to be watched as anything can be up for grabs. One obstruction surgery is enough for one life time and it's rare that a second one is survivable. He also is unable to take Carprofen and has a reaction to it which isn't as uncommon as you think and Gabapentin and Traz doesn't work well either no reactions just doesn't work for him.

On to better news. Colby loves everyone he meets. He is also good with other dogs but would recommend a home with no other male dogs just due to breed. This boy will sing you the song of his people when he isn't getting his way. Do to this he wouldn't be ideal for apartment living as your neighbors might not enjoy his singing practices. He is crate trained however nothing should be left in his crate with him when alone not even a bowl as he will chew it. He can not be left unattended with blankets as he does suck on blankets as well so far he hasn't chewed any holes in them but it is something to watch out for. He does need to be crated when left alone due to his chewing habits. So if crating is not for you he is not the dog for you.

We are accepting applications now for Colby. To apply please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application

All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Please email us at HookedOnDobies@gmail.com, visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/savingdobermankind or webpage https://www.savingdobermankind.org to request an application, inquire about an adoption fee, or to learn more!

We do require a completed adoption application to be submitted before discussing details of a specific Doberman. We do require reference checks and a home check to be approved for adoption.

We DO NOT have a central location; our foster homes are located throughout our geographic region including CO and WY.

We strive to PROTECT the privacy of our fosters. ALL Doberman meet and greets are conducted in a neutral meeting location made by appointment only after adoption approval.
