One sad morning, we received a phone call from a vet's office explaining that a family brought in their perfectly healthy dog to be euthanized and they wanted to know if she was a candidate for rescue versus euthanasia. Apparently, the owner's boyfriend moved in with his two dogs and Coffey wasn't a fan. The boyfriend wanted Coffey gone. She is healthy and happy and there was no reason that she needed to be put down. She misses her family very much and would love to find a home that means it when they say "forever." Coffey is 7 years old (as of 2025). She's an active dog that loves to play ball. She is potty and house trained. She would do best in a home with children that are over 10 and no other dogs.
