Cody's Story
Amy is an 8.5-year-old purebred miniature poodle and weighs 15.5 lbs. She was adopted as a puppy, and the adopter took her home and put her in a crate and never took her out. After 16 months the adopter returned her to the breeder underweight, matted, and with really long nails. Due to this, Amy does not do well in a crate unless she can see her human. The groomer Amy sees has crated her with success, but again, Amy has to be able to see her. Amy does not love getting her ear hair plucked out at the groomer. She will move her head away. She loves car rides, toys, and bully sticks. Amy wants nothing more than to be with her human and get love, but after some time in a lap, she will go lay on the floor and nap. She is a social girl and loves all people. She loves taking walks and seeing new people and smelling all the smells. She is good on the leash. Amy thrives on routine and if asked if she wants to go outside she will run to the door. She does like to jump up on people when she is excited. Amy has separation anxiety when left alone at home. If bored, she will counter surf or take things within reach (off coffee table). She loves to shred paper. Amy is fully vetted, microchipped, has had a dental cleaning and a groom. Amy is up for adoption because her owner passed away.
Cody is 10.5-year-old teacup poodle and weighs 8.25 lbs. He rides well in a vehicle, does great on a leash and loves treats. Cody is happiest in the lap of his human and will happily stay there all day and night. He followed his previous owner like a shadow - keeping careful watch over her. Cody does have separation anxiety. He is such a lovebug! Cody loves walks and smelling all the smells. Cody is used to getting groomed and does really well. He cannot be left out in the yard as he can be picked up by larger birds. New owner will have to be selective on treats as Cody doesn’t always chew them before swallowing and will choke. He will come with a set of padded stairs to get on the couch. Cody was never formally potty trained but followed the other dogs outside. He does well when on a schedule. Cody is fully vetted, has had a dental cleaning and a groom. He is up for adoption because his owner passed away.
*Cody needs to see Amy during grooming. They are most comfortable together.
They eat twice a day 7:30 – 8 a.m. and again at 5:30 – 6 p.m.
They can go about 7-7.5 hours at night before having to go out to potty.

Adoption fee of $500 includes:
-yearly vaccine
-rabies vaccine
-microchipped
-worm and parasite treated
-neutered
-Heartworm tested negative
-up to date on flea, tick and heartworm meds

If you are interested in adoption please follow the link to her application

https://form.jotform.com/232038657316154

Please send photos of the home and yard wherever the dog will have access to:

Caninepawsabilitiessc@gmail.com
