Cocoa's Story

Somewhere out there is a person whose home feels a little too quiet.
A person who wishes someone would follow them from room to room... who would gladly trade a little couch space for a warm head in their lap and sleepy sighs at the end of a long day.

I think that person might be looking for me.

Hi, I’m 3 year old Cocoa.

My foster mom says I’m made of three things: cuddles, snacks and dramatic ear expressions

I’m 50 pounds of low-to-medium energy perfection, which basically means I’m equally happy going for a nice walk or spending the evening pretending I’m your weighted blanket. I’m 50 pounds of low-to-medium energy perfection, which basically means I’m equally happy going for a nice walk or spending the evening pretending I’m your weighted blanket. I do have chronic bronchitis, which sounds scarier than it is. I take daily medication and need a non-smoking home so I can stay healthy and keep doing important things... like snuggling dramatically and giving kisses.

And here’s the hard part.

My foster family loves me very much, but at the end of the summer they’ll be moving out of the country. If I don’t find an adopter, I’ll need a new foster home to go to.
