his handsome guy is slowly but surely coming out of his shell. When he first arrived, he was very matted, dirty, and uncomfortable but after his first grooming, it was like a whole new dog emerged. He’s clearly feeling much better and more confident now.<br/><br/>He has KCS (dry eye) in his right eye, which will require ongoing care, but he’s been a champ about handling it so far.<br/><br/>He LOVES people, including children, and enjoys cuddles, pets, and being close to his humans. Toys are one of his favorite things, and he enjoys playtime though we’ve noticed some mild resource guarding with toys, something his future family should continue to work on with patience and positive reinforcement.<br/><br/>He does well around other dogs, but he hasn’t fully opened up to playing with them yet. He’s more of a “watch and warm up slowly” kind of guy. When it comes to food and treats, he can be a bit picky, so learning what motivates him best is still part of the journey.<br/><br/>Overall, he’s a gentle, affectionate dog who’s showing more of his personality every day. With a little time, consistency, and TLC, we truly believe he’s going to make a wonderful companion for the right home.
