Coco's Story
Coco is an incredibly sweet, affectionate 2-year-old girl weighing around 35 pounds who is searching for her forever home. Despite having experienced neglect and instability early in life, she has held onto her loving, gentle nature and remains deeply trusting and people-oriented. Coco truly wants nothing more than to be close to her person and be someone’s loyal companion.

She is fully grown, house-trained, and does well with dogs, cats, and kids, making her a wonderful fit for many types of households. While her exact breed is unknown, she is believed to be part Shih Tzu. Coco is happiest when she’s receiving affection and reassurance, and she bonds quickly with those who show her kindness.

Because Coco spent long stretches of her early life confined to a crate with minimal interaction, she does struggle with some separation anxiety and can become upset when left alone. Even so, she remains gentle, affectionate, and eager to please. She would do best in a calm, patient home where someone is around more often and can help her continue learning that she is safe and secure.

Coco is currently living in an apartment with other pets and is doing well, but she truly needs a stable, long-term home that can offer consistency, companionship, and the time she deserves. She is not spayed to our knowledge, and although previous owners stated she had vaccines, no records were provided. Our rescue will cover her vaccinations, and support with vetting can be discussed.

Coco has already endured more than any dog should, and now she’s ready for her fresh start with a family of her own.
