Coco's Story

This BIG goofball is Coco! A 7 year old, neutered boy who weighs in at 122 pounds! He definitely needs to lose a few pounds, but the good news is he walks on leash pretty well. A manner recap might be good too. He even knows how to sit! He has lived with dogs and has met many new dogs and gets along with everyone. He knows no stranger and wants to be everyone's friend. He did well getting a bath, and also when going on a car ride! He also loves toys! He is a BIG ray of sunshine! Coco got to have an overnight sleep-over with a foster and they reported he did very well in their home. No potty accidents, no destruction, checked in for reassurance. Met a goat and alpaca through a fence and showed no interest in them. He showed respect to their fence line and did not try to climb or dig out of the yard. He knows sit, stay, and lay down, but he needs a good refresher as it doesn't seem he was tasked with using those skills lately. A home with a family who is committed to getting Coco to a healthy weight would be ideal for him.

He's fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. Adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor!

If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions . Walk-ins are welcome, however we highly recommend calling first to check on availability and location (some animals may be offsite or unavailable). Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, especially for dogs. Thank you!
