Coco's Story
Meet Coco Breed: Beagle Mix | Age: 7 yr | Size: 40lb | Traits:

This sweet girl has been part of her family since she was a puppy. She is a loving, food-motivated girl who absolutely loves treats and will happily enjoy the occasional pup cup! She also loves chew toys and bones, which are great ways to keep her happy and entertained.

She can be protective of her family in a typical alerting way and will vocalize when someone approaches the door. To our knowledge, she has not escalated and been aggressive toward any visitors or family members. When she becomes nervous, especially when things are very loud, she is more likely to hide behind a family member for reassurance.

She is generally comfortable with people but can be wary of some men, particularly men with beards. She does well with the male family members she knows, but a female adopter would be the best fit. She's good with young children.

She has had very limited experience with other dogs but has done well with a smaller, older dog. She has not had much opportunity to play with other dogs, so slow, supervised introductions are recommended. No experience around cats.

She is crate trained and stays in her crate at night and when her family is away. She is not known to be an escape artist when in the yard.

She also does very well in the car and genuinely enjoys going for rides, making her a great companion for adventures. With her love of being outdoors, she would make an excellent hiking buddy for someone looking for a four-legged adventure companion.

Located near Queensbury, NY

Courtesy Post: Coco is not in HOPE's custody.
