Coco's Story

Spayed Female
2.5 Years Old
48 Pounds
$175

Meet Coco — a smart, athletic girl who’s ready to find a home that will finally be her forever one. This 2.5-year-old black-and-white Border Collie mix has had quite the journey, bouncing between shelters before landing back with us, but through it all she’s remained social, affectionate, and eager to connect with people.

Coco is full of energy and enthusiasm. She loves to run, jump, play, and stay busy, so she’ll thrive with an active family that can keep both her mind and body engaged. Whether it’s hikes, fetch sessions, long walks, or a big fenced yard to zoom around in, Coco is happiest when she has room to move and people to share adventures with.

She’s very friendly with people and enjoys attention, but she does best with submissive male dogs due to her dominant personality with other females. Because of this, any canine introductions should be done thoughtfully.

Coco is looking for a family that understands active working-breed mixes and is ready to give her the consistency, exercise, and love she deserves. In return, she’ll bring plenty of fun, personality, and companionship to the right home.

At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals!
We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.

Want to Know if I’m Still Available?
Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability. If you’d like to show you’re thinking about adopting, please fill out an application on our website under "Adopt" at www.hsomc.org.

Open Adoption Hours:

Tuesday & Wednesday: Noon – 6 pm

Thursday & Friday: Noon – 7 pm

Saturday: Noon – 4 pm

I’m located at the Humane Society of Midland County, 4371 E Ashman St, Midland, MI 48642.

We can’t wait to meet you and help you find your new best friend!
