Coco's Story

Spayed Female
2.5 Years Old
48 Pounds
$175

Coco is a 2 1/2-year-old Border Collie mix with a striking black-and-white coat, a bright mind, and enough enthusiasm to keep life exciting. This athletic, intelligent girl is searching for the forever home she's been waiting for after spending time in multiple shelters. Despite all the changes she's experienced, Coco has remained affectionate, social, and eager to make new friends.

As you'd expect from a Border Collie mix, Coco is incredibly smart and full of energy. She loves to run, jump, play, and stay active. Whether it's hiking, playing fetch, exploring new trails, or racing around a securely fenced yard, Coco thrives when she has plenty of opportunities to exercise both her body and her mind. She's looking for a family that can keep up with her active lifestyle and provide the structure and enrichment she craves.

Coco is very people-oriented and enjoys being part of the action. She loves attention and companionship and isn't shy about expressing herselfthis chatty girl always has something to say! Her lively personality and enthusiasm make her a fun and engaging companion.

When it comes to other dogs, Coco does best with submissive male dogs. She can be dominant with female dogs, so any introductions should be handled carefully and thoughtfully. She is not a good fit for a home with cats.

Because of her intelligence, energy level, and herding breed background, Coco is looking for a home with experience handling Border Collies, herding breeds, or other high-energy working dogs. She'll do best with a family that understands her needs and is committed to providing consistent training, exercise, and mental stimulation.

Coco has so much love, loyalty, and personality to offer. If you're looking for an active, intelligent companion to join you on all of life's adventures, Coco may be the perfect match. She's ready to leave her shelter days behind and finally find the forever family she deserves.

At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption.
