COCO's Story
Coco is a 40 pound, happy, bubbly pup with so much love to give! She will make you laugh with her goofy antics and snuggle you to sleep at night. Coco was originally brought to our facility as a stray found on someone's doorstep, scratching at the door to be let inside. They opted to bring her to the shelter due to her chasing the cat in the home, and then after being returned 2 other times her foster parent now took her in and has given her a stress-free safe space to wait for her forever home. Coco is house trained, kennel trained, good in the car, and is good on a leash. Coco does resource guard her people and will attack other animals in the home if she decides she does not want that animal near her person. Due to this we recommend Coco go to a home where she would be the only dog in the home, or with an experienced dog owner that has history with training dogs through their resource guarding. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and her adoption fees are waived if you would like to contact our front desk staff at tasinfo@cityoftulsa.org, or by contacting our Animal Placement Coordinator at elorenz@cityoftulsa.org to see about setting up a meet and greet! Upcoming events Coco will be joining us at: - Spring Carnival at Whiteside Park May 15th from 6pm to 8pm. - Cabin Boys Brewery May 16th from 12pm to 4pm. Feel free to stop by to meet her and some of our other foster dogs in search of their forever homes!
