Coco's Story
Meet Coco! She came to us from a hoarding situation in Navajo County with 47 husky mixes on one property. She was a little nervous when she arrived, which isn't surprising given where she came from. Despite this, she adjusted to her foster home smoothly and has done so well with the two other dogs. She's a truly resilient, extremely sweet and shy girl looking for her forever family.

Coco is great with other dogs - she can be playful, but is also just fine giving them space if that's what they need! She's a smart girl, already learning a few commands following the leads of her foster siblings. It doesn't hurt that she loves treats too! Her foster has been working with her on some adjustment-based potty-training and separation anxiety issues - she didn't come from a great environment, but she is learning how to be a 'normal' dog with time. She is doing very well with crate training, and she takes verbal correction very well. She also walks great on a leash with minimal pulling. This sweet girl has been so happy to be in a house with humans and other dogs that she does get a bit sad when her people leave, so a home where she isn't left alone for too long would be her ideal. She loves to play fetch but in true husky form is still working on bringing it back! Coco also loves belly rubs and can handle well built dog toys like nobody's business.

This sweet girl's ideal home would be on the calmer side to match her sweet, calm energy. She does well with other dogs of all types, but her ideal home would have other dogs that are a bit calmer and that may want to play sometimes but not all the time nonstop. She's done well with kids - we think 7+ is the right age range for her. Coco is a super affectionate girl who can't wait to love you! She just needs the right home with understanding and patience to give her a chance.
