Coco's Story

Coco came from a local family here in San Diego. They contacted us about 2 months ago asking for help with rehoming their Beagles (4) but we have been busy with other rescues. The family decided to surrender their dogs because theyve been having issues with their neighbors, plus they have busier family schedules now (kids in sports, out of town travels often, etc.)...

Coco is 3 years old. Shes a blue tricolor girl. Shes on the smaller side, probably 13 but chubby. She needs to loose weight, shes 34lbs but should be more like 25lbs for her size. Shes a bit shy at first but warms quickly. Shes very affectionate with people and more melow rather than active/hyper. She lived with other 3 Beagles, so shes used to living with other dogs, so far shes been fine with our Beagle pack too. At her previous home, she was living in the backyard most of the day so shes not potty trained, only crate trained. Shell need a family that will be able to train her to become a good indoor pet. She was living with kids so shes also good around them, unknown about cats, but she seems like a gentle girl overall.

Included with adoption:

- Vet wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies)
- Rabies Certificate
- Fecal test: Negative results
- FLEX4 test: Negative results for all 4: Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme
- Heartworm/Flea/Tick/Worm monthly preventive given (Credelio Quattro)
- Microchip with prepaid lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite)
- Ear infection treatment (currently being treated with cleaning solution and ear drops)
- Spay surgery
- Dental cleaning
- Leash, collar and harness
- Adoption contract
- Some of her current food

Coco is ready to be adopted. Pick up would be in San Diego, CA. Transportation could be arranged to the right home, if needed.

If Coco sounds like a good fit for your family, and youre interested in adopting her, feel free to fill out our adoption application form and well get back to you. CA Beagles's Adoption Policy
We start providing the info and pics/videos of the dogs available for adoption. When we have a family interested in our dogs we send the adoption application form (we ask several questions and request pictures of the home where the dog would be living at). If the application is approved we move forward with the adoption contract. We meet with the potential adopter and the dog. If all goes well in the meeting the potential adopter can take the dog home after the meeting. Once the dog is adopted we do periodic follow ups to make sure it was a good fit and dog is doing well.
