Coco's Story

Coco and her siblings were born after their pregnant mum was lucky enough to roam onto the property of a kind animal lover on the outskirts of Puerto Vallarta. The rescuer has cared for them ever since but now must move to a small apartment and is seeking forever homes for them. Coco is chihuahua x pug mix and is very timid and looking for a quiet non rural home. She went to the Saturday market and you could tell she wanted to be a part of the action but was also cautious with people touching her. She did warm up to the volunteers once she spent more time with them. She is 2 years old, weighs 19 lbs, is spayed, healthy and vaccinated. If you’d like to apply to be Coco’s happy ever after, please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and we can send you an application

PVCA Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our sister organization, the SPCA Puerto Vallarta, has a sanctuary, staff, trainer and medical team who work with the dogs and cats until they are deemed "adoptable". Once they pass their health exams, which include blood tests which certify they are able to cross borders, they are transported to Canada and/or the United States and enter foster or permanent homes. All our animals come sterilized, and fully vaccinated and dewormed. Our organization relies on the caring volunteers who open their homes and foster the animals until they are adopted. We do not have a sanctuary or shelter in Canada or the United States. Visits must be arranged and we prefer an adoption application to be filled out and approved before visitation.
