Coco's Story
Meet a gentle giant with a heart just as big as he is 💛

This 10-year-old sweetheart found his way to us after the passing of his beloved owner, and while his world has changed, his loving nature hasn’t. He’s a big boy in every sense—currently weighing in at 118 lbs—and we’re helping him shed nearly 40 extra pounds so he can feel his very best in his golden years. For him, this journey isn’t just about looks—it’s about comfort, mobility, and a longer, healthier life.

Despite everything he’s been through, he remains incredibly kind. He’s lived with children and does wonderfully with them, and he’s also shared a home with cats without issue. He previously lived alongside two other pit bulls and did well, though he’d prefer a home without small dogs. Like many dogs, he can be a little protective of his food, so some simple management and understanding will go a long way.

He’s a simple guy with simple joys. He loves being outside, soaking up the fresh air (as long as it’s not too windy—he’s not a fan of that!), and happily chewing on his favorite bones. He is potty trained, though he’s had some accidents, likely due to changes and adjusting to a new routine. He’s used to sleeping in a kennel at night, but he’ll let you know he’d much rather be somewhere cozier with his people.

What he needs most now is a patient, loving home that will continue helping him on his weight-loss journey and give him the stability he’s missing. In return, you’ll get a loyal, gentle companion who still has so much love left to give.

If you’re looking for a laid-back best friend to share your days with, he might just be your perfect match!
