Cobbler's Story

Cobbler came to CRA with his sister, Maraschino, and his mom, Cherry and aren’t they the cutest trio?<br/>They made their way to us from our Texas partner in hopes of finding forever families of their own.<br/><br/>Cherry appears to be some kind of dachshund/Chihuahua mix but honestly who knows what! What we do know is that she has the cutest short little legs. Since Cobbler’s dad chose to remain a mystery, his full-grown size is unknown.<br/><br/>Cobbler is doing so well in his foster home, and we’d absolutely love to see him find his forever family!<br/><br/>A few things to know about this sweet boy:<br/>- He’s just shy of 5 months old and weighs about 10–11 pounds.<br/>- He’s working on potty training. His adopter should remember that he’s a puppy entering a brand-new environment, so patience, consistency, and a good routine will be key!<br/>- He’s gaining confidence with crate training and doing great.<br/>- He’s a silly, curious puppy who is ready to smell and explore the whole world! He’s still working on his leash skills, too.<br/><br/>His adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives (flea, tick, and heartworm), multiple rounds of deworming, neuter, and microchip.<br/><br/>Adopters must live in or within 3 hours of Chicago to be considered.<br/>Please only apply if your timeline allows you to take your new family member home the same week you are approved.

- Adoption Application (Before sending in an application please review the requirements for the interested dog. We do our best to update the requirements for each dog as an individual because they may have different needs.) - Identification (ID/DL) and Digital Home Visit - Vet Reference (Past or Current Pets up to date on vaccines, preventatives, spay/neutered required) - Matching Call: This is utilized to learn more about the adopters lifestyle, wants, needs, and anything else to determine if they are a proper match for the interested puppy or dog. We are not a first come, first serve rescue and always want to set up both adopter and dog in our care up for success. - Meet and greet for potential adopters and or resident pets. - Finalizing adoption via contract and payment.
