Coal's Story

Coal and his siblings were born in West Virginia on January 5. The Lady surrendered them and we brought them into our program. Coal knows how to use the dog door to go in and out. We’re working on hose training but it will take time patience. He’s being raised in a foster home with lots and lots of other dogs with all sizes and shapes. He loves to play with them, but he also loves his person. Coal is available with a pre approved application and a scheduled meet and greet.

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a foster-based, 501c3 nonprofitrescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
