CoCo's Story
DIAMOND IN THE RUFF: CoCo is a handsome hound mix with a gentle soul and so much love to give. Originally adopted as a puppy, he returned to the shelter in 2023 when his family could no longer care for him. Since then, he has been steadily blossoming and showing everyone what a special dog he is.

While CoCo likes to take things slow with new people, once you are in his circle, you are in for life. He greets his favorite people with full-body wiggles, happy grumbles, and even an excited little hop when it is time for a walk.
His foster describes him as an absolute gentleman in the home. He has perfect manners, settles in beautifully, and has a particular soft spot for teddy bears. Whether he is carrying one around or snuggling up with it, his love for plush toys is guaranteed to make you smile.

CoCo is currently recovering from an ACL injury and attending regular therapy sessions, where he has been cooperative and sweet with the staff helping him heal. He knows his basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and gets especially excited when he spots a familiar friend during his outings.

CoCo would thrive in a calm, patient adult-only home where he can be the center of attention. He prefers to be the only pet and is happiest soaking up the sun, enjoying gentle playtime with his beloved stuffed animals, and spending quality time with the people he trusts.

If you are looking for a loyal, well-mannered companion who will reward your patience with endless devotion, CoCo may be your perfect match.

COCO'S NEEDS: Adult-Only Home Single Animal Home Daily Mental Enrichment Prescription Diet
Interested in fostering CoCo?

Click on the Foster page to complete a foster application.
