Clyde's Story

Clyde is an 3.5-year-old loverboy with a big heart. He's an excellent companion to his humans and a good friend to many dogs in a structured environment. While he has had a best dog buddy for almost 3 years and enjoys outings where he can meet new pals, Clyde is ultimately ready for a home where he can be the center of attention.

Clyde is an enthusiastic explorer of good sniffs and a devoted protector of the home. He always has the energy for a good long walk so he can stay up to date on all the neighborhood happenings. But the moment you settle onto a couch or bed, you can expect to gain a very reliable and very warm personal heating pad. He currently lives in a home with an abundance of chew toys, as his only vice is a Roku remote, and plenty of time with his humans, as we work from home.

He's incredibly tolerant of his parents' tomfoolery, we collect many a nose-boops, tug at his paws/legs, and lift his lips to admire those teefies, but he has only ever lived in an adults-only home.

Clyde came to us as a stray, so it took some time to learn his quirks, but here's the summary: he loves bedtime snuggles but is perfectly content with his dog bed when it's "time for bed." He is allergic to kennels. He prefers having you home and may benefit from an anti-anxiety aid if he'll be alone for long stretches. He can be hesitant with new people in your home, as he just wants to keep you safe, but if you love someone, he'll usually love them too.

If Clyde finds his way into your home/heart, he really will be your ultimate snuggle bug, adventure companion and protector.

(P.S. he loves a good car ride if you're headed out for a quick lunch or to snag something from the store.)

Clyde is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
