Clyde's Story

My name is Clyde, and I'm a young Great Pyr looking for my forever home. I was on the run for about 4 months before I was trapped and brought into the shelter. I am a nervous boy who takes time to warm up to new people. Because of all of this, anyone interested in me is going to have to be able to come and visit me at the shelter multiple times before adoption. I am not one of those dogs that can home the same day I meet you, but it's likely I won't want to come up to you. I am a really nice and sweet boy, but being on my own for a long time made me quite fearful. I'm looking for a home where I can take my time learning about you and we can eventually be best friends, go for walks and play I love stuffed animals, playing outside and once I get to know you, snuggling up with you (I love my shelter people, so I do warm up). I also need a secured yard where I cannot escape, and no young children who will accidentally let me out or scare me too much. Basically, I'm a big furry baby!

*You must fill out our adoption application found on our website at www.cchumanesociety.com or in person at the shelter. *We DO NOT transfer dogs to other shelters or transport for the purpose of adoption. You must be willing and able to come to CCHS to meet the animal you are interested in adopting. *You must live within 350 miles of CCHS in order to adopt from our shelter. It's extremely difficult to get an animal back if things don't work out and want to make sure you are close enough that arrangements can be made (but hopefully not needed).
