Clyde's Story

Meet Clyde: Your Goofy, Cuddly Shadow is Here!

If your idea of the perfect dog involves a big, soft German Shepherd who thinks he's a lap dog, Clyde is ready to meet you! He is the definition of a "lovers-not-fighter" type—a sweet, friendly, and deeply affectionate boy who just wants to be wherever you are.

Why Clyde is Special:

Clyde is a gentle, goofy soul who literally wears his heart on his sleeve (well, on his face, with that signature tongue-hanging-out expression!). He is a rare find—a Shepherd who truly likes to cuddle, even wanting to be close in bed, and who is not dominant with other dogs.

The "Family Man":

Clyde is smart, extremely pet-driven, and very gentle with treats (zero food aggression here!). He’s also potty-trained and ready for car rides. His submissive nature means he’s not looking to lead; he's looking for a family to follow. We would absolutely love to see Clyde paired with a young boy or girl—he has that tender-hearted energy that would make him a dedicated protector and playmate for a child.

Friends & Fun:

Clyde is a social butterfly! He currently plays beautifully with his friend Gracie. He is less "athletic" than a typical high-drive GSD, preferring to be in a relaxed environment where he can observe, play gently, and (most importantly) get brushed.

Clyde’s Favorite Things:

His Shadow Role: If you move, he moves. Be prepared for a loyal companion in the kitchen, the garage, or on the couch.

Belly Rubs & Brushings: These are his "love languages."

Saying Hello: Be ready for check-ins—he loves to pop over for a friendly wag even when you’re relaxed in bed.

The Ideal Home: Clyde needs a home with a secure fence (his Prey Drive is active for cats/wildlife on walks!), another friendly dog to play with, or a family that will make him their center. He isn’t demanding; he just needs someone who will appreciate his quiet, dedicated love (and maybe help him tuck that tongue back in every now and then!).

If interested in this dog, please email Lenore, darkrain1234@gmail.com for an application.
Adoption Fees

Adoption fees help cover expenses for all the dogs while in the rescue program including the vet check, microchip, vaccines, heartworm testing, fecal check, broken bones, illness, spay/neuter plus other necessary veterinary care with medications and training to get the dog ready for adoption. Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to come and meet the dogs. We work BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Interested in this dog?
