Clover's Story

Hi world, I’m Clover! I’m a 2-year-old, 30-pound mix of Feist, Chihuahua, Lab, and Border Collie — basically a little bit of everything wonderful. I may be on the smaller side, but I have a huge heart and a serious love for fuzzy blankets and cozy cuddles.

When you first meet me, I can be shy and a little unsure. New people make me nervous at first, but with patience and gentle encouragement, I warm up beautifully. Once I feel safe, I’m all about pets, belly rubs, and sticking close to my people. My little nubby tail never stops wagging — it’s my built-in happiness meter!

I do best in a home that understands dogs like me. I must have a securely fenced yard and experienced, confident dog owners who are willing to move at my pace. It will likely take a couple of meet-and-greets for me to get comfortable before heading home, but that time helps set me up for success. I would absolutely thrive with a confident, social dog who can show me the ropes, help me feel safe, and be a fun playmate.

I walk nicely on leash with my trusted person, love playing with other dogs, and truly shine once I know I belong.

I also have a pretty unique quirk — a harmless genetic condition that causes a few cells in my right eye to grow skin instead. Yes, I literally give the “hairy eyeball”! It doesn’t bother me at all, and it just makes me extra special.

If you’re a patient, dog-savvy home looking for a sweet, snuggly, one-of-a-kind companion to share your life (and your blankets) with, I think we could be a perfect match.

I am up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped.

**Important**
The cost to adopt is $250 and the adoption process begins with an Adoption Application that is located at: www.faithfulfriendsnc.org/adopt

Once your completed application has been reviewed the humans will contact you with questions and/or set an appointment for you to meet me. Thank you! Please read all guidelines before sending in an application. Do not reach out to the sanctuary about the status of your application, we will contact you if we are interested in setting up an appointment.
