Clover's Story
Meet Clover

We have been saving dogs behind the scenes the last few weeks/month. She was an urgent pull due to hit by car with a fractured pelvis. She's 6 weeks post original x rays (probably 5/6 weeks post actual incident). She has seen an orthopedic specialists at UC Davis and been found to be a candidate for healing with rest, pain meds and time. She was spayed, chipped, caught up on vaccines, heartworm tested negative and started on 3 month flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Once she arrived our fosters notices she slept like a log and wasn't easy to wake up not responsive to any sounds even her name. So after exams and trial/error we know she is Genetically DEAF!! She can hear high pitch whistle and calls/sounds/claps. She loves other dogs and kids! Likes cats wants to play with them when they run but then just walks away. You'd never know she is deaf, she is house and crate trained with appropriate adjustment period into new environment. She loves everyone and everything great offleash hang around you and stay in eye site.

She is taking applications for the prefect forever home BUT WE ARE LOOKING at existing APPROVED applications first.

We are hoping she can get groomed this week.

If interested please fill out and submit an application online at Softpawsrescue.org and send in home and yard photos for consideration to adopt. We like to do 2 week Foster to Adopts so the dogs don't have to move around as much and they can bond and make sure they fit into your home before completion of adoption.

Dogs adoption fee's will include vet visit/exam, spay/neuter, microchip, blood work up/dental if vet says it is needed, dewormed, up to date on shots (DHPP and Rabies, Bordetella can be done if requested we don't do it normally as we don't have the dogs in boarding, dog parks or high risk locations), current on 1 dose of flea treatment in case they brought any with them from CA. If anything isn't mentioned that you don't see but is normally done please ask.
