Clover's Story

Age: 2yrs 5m

Sex: Male

Weight: 75lbs

Meet Clover!

Clover is a 2-year-old, 75-pound gentle giant with a goofy personality, a big heart, and a serious love for chin scratches! This handsome boy has spent time in a home and foster setting, and he has shown just how sweet, easygoing, and affectionate he can be.

Clover is a total cuddle bug who loves being close to his people. He may happily sit on your feet, lean in for some affection, or simply plop down beside you to hang out. He is friendly with adults and children and has done wonderfully around little ones. He is also a very social guy who enjoys meeting other dogs and has experience spending time with dogs of all different sizes.

Here at the CRC, Clover has been part of lots of playgroups and has shown that he loves to romp, wrestle, and have a good time with his canine friends! He can be a rough-and-rowdy player, especially when paired with other high-energy dogs, so he may need a little help taking breaks and remembering to slow things down. A dog-to-dog meet is always recommended to make sure everyone is a good match.

When he isn't busy playing, Clover is perfectly happy entertaining himself with his toys or taking himself off for a leisurely walk. He walks nicely on a harness, is crate trained, potty-trained, and has done well free-roaming in a home. He is also wonderfully quiet and has shown himself to be a very calm best friend overall.

More than anything, Clover loves his people and loves being close to them. At the end of the day, what Clover seems to want most is to be part of someone's life and have a person of his own to love.

Clover does have some skin and food sensitivities and is currently on a special diet to help keep him feeling his best. With the right care and plenty of love, this gentle, goofy boy is ready to settle into a home where he can simply be himself.

He is looking for someone who will appreciate his big personality, soft heart, playful spirit, and love for a good cuddle. We think whoever gets to call Clover theirs will feel pretty lucky.

*To fill out an adoption application for Clover, click 'visit our profile page', then under 'adoption policy' click the 'adoption application' button!
