When it comes to pups, Clover may look like a ton of fun however she actually only tips the scales at a mere #120. While it looks like she is quite the calm couch potato, there mild demeanor turns into major excitement, spins and jumping straight into the air when her foster mom comes home, it is dinner or treat time. Also she is constantly reading the room to determine if everything is great or if there is a situation in which she needs to intervene. When her foster mom is getting pummeled by the other fosters in her home, Clover is quick to throw herself between mom and the other pups with a very low rumble to protect her mom and quash the craziness. In turn she is happy to do the quintessential "Dane lean" and receive some pets for her good work. Clover is generally quiet but will sound the alarm when a rogue delivery person, lawn person or other solicitor hits the porch. He foster mom can verify this has certainly cut down on the amount of unwanted door guests. With visitors, she is fine when you invite them in and she will make up with them in about 10 minutes. However, if she is rushed, she will meet that with a low growl. She has been in many multiple person situations and has never made on offer to snap, but she will warn folks until she is comfortable. She does not have to be muzzled at the vets or anything that serious and is happy to let new people pet and cuddle her in a short period of time. She will just need a very solid owner who can reassure her and let her know all is OK as well as control the way new folks approach her. She does hop right into her foster mom's raised vehicle and likes to take rides. She is great on a leash and on walks and is good with other dogs as well as long as you treat that meeting exactly like you treat her meeting a new person. Clover is completely housebroken and has never been in a crate. She is left loose when her foster mom leaves the home without incident. The vet has estimated her to be 8 years old but we don't really know. She was found as a stray, had a littler of pups May 3, 2026 that were taken by another rescue and Clover came to us. She is a wonderful girl and easy integration into any companion pet home. While she is a Dane, we do prefer a ranch style home or a home where her living and activity is kept to one floor where she has easy access to the outdoors.
