Clint's Story
Clint
8 years old 60 lbs distinguished gentleman of the Old West

Some dogs chase tennis balls.

Clint looks at a tennis ball the way Clint Eastwood looks at a villain across a dusty street. Slow blink. Calculated pause. A certain cinematic gravity.

"Go ahead," his face says.
"Throw it."

Clint is eight years old, sixty pounds, and carries himself with the calm authority of a cowboy who has seen a few things and chosen peace anyway. Not dramatic peace. Not motivational-poster peace. Just the quiet confidence of a dog who knows exactly where the snacks are and intends to handle the situation responsibly.

He likes toys, but not in the chaotic goblin sense. Clint is a collector. A curator. A tasteful archivist of fine rubber chickens and respectable squeaky hedgehogs. If you need one back, he will gladly negotiate terms like a seasoned diplomat of the frontier.

Clint enjoys people, other dogs, and generally approaches life with the philosophical outlook of a wise ranch hand who's decided the world works better when everyone stays calm and somebody brings treats.

Cats? Clint acknowledges them the way an old gunslinger acknowledges a tumbleweed.

"Yes. You exist."

Walks are one of Clint's great pleasures. He moves through the world like a man who expects a sunset and probably gets one.

He sleeps peacefully in his crate as long as it's his own private quarters. If he can see you from it, however, Clint will deliver commentary. Not yelling. More like... enthusiastic town hall updates.

"Just checking in."
"Still here."
"Also snacks."

When left alone he prefers to be crated, mostly because Clint has a mild hobby of redecorating. Not destruction. More like a tasteful interior rearrangement. A sock might move. A shoe might change departments. Clint believes in thoughtful curation.

He'll also bark at activity beyond the fence like a responsible frontier sheriff conducting a neighborhood vibe audit.

Everything about Clint is balanced. Friendly but not clingy. Playful but not chaotic. Affectionate but still very much a gentleman.

Some dogs are tornadoes.

Clint is the quiet hero who rides in at sunset, tips his hat, and makes the whole place feel calmer.

In the immortal words of the other Clint:

A man's got to know his limitations.

Clint knows his.

And apparently they do not include being incredibly lovable.

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to complete an application and read all of our FAQs:

https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily.
