Clifford's Story
Meet Clifford

Are you wondering what Clifford is looking for?? The answer is easy - he's searching for his forever home! Clifford is a red, "tweenie" dachshund weighing 17 pounds. He's only 7 months old, so may grow a little more.

We don't know too much about his short life so far, except that he has been passed around to several different homes, all through no fault of his own. This has left him a little skittish at first meeting, but he soon settles down and attaches to his humans. Clifford does not like children, not one little bit! He may have had some rough handling from some, but he cannot be placed in a home with children, visiting grandchildren etc .

Clifford gets along great with a houseful of foster dogs, both male and female, and loves to play chase and wrestle. If no one is interested he will play with toys by himself. He loves to cuddle with his humans and watch TV and would like to have someone home most of the day. He is crate trained and can be left for short periods. He has learned to use the doggie door, but is still working on house training. He is a typical dachshund in that he's curious, adventurous, clever, charming and a little bit stubborn!

Clifford must have access to a securely fenced yard, and would prefer the company of another young dog, unless his humans are available most of the time for games, walks and continued training.

Clifford is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $450, which helps cover medical expenses for the rescue.

If you are looking for a social active young dog who loves to be with other dogs and people, Clifford is waiting for you. Please complete our online application at:

Application

. A volunteer coordinator will contact you after reviewing your submission

.

*Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up .
